Dr. Manglik ;oined the faculty at the - niversity of<br />
Cincinnati in 1; ; 1 and is currently a professor of<br />
mechanical engineering and the director of the<br />
Thermal-Fluids and Thermal Processing Laboratory.<br />
He is internationally recognized for his seminal and<br />
transformative contributions in heat transfer; thermal<br />
processing and complex heat exchange systems. His<br />
achievements have had a lasting impact on advanced<br />
engineering science research; design optimization in<br />
emerging applications and the development of novel<br />
thermal devices. Manglik is a world-renowned specialist<br />
in enhanced heat transfer; nucleate boiling and<br />
bubble dynamics; interfacial phenomena and molecular<br />
transport in colloidal systems; non-Newtonian thermal<br />
processing and energy systems. He has obtained nearly<br />
; ; .; million in funding from various highly competitive sponsors.<br />
Manglik has produced more than 2; 0 publications including books; monographs;<br />
book chapters; archival papers and technical reports. He is the co-author of the classical<br />
and acclaimed textbook titled “Principles of Heat Transfer; ;Cengage; as well as<br />
several other highly referenced texts and monographs. He serves as the editor-in-chief<br />
of the !9!!nal 90 !n2an-/. !/a!&!an!0/!;was editor since 1; ; ; inception;. Previously<br />
he was technical editor of the “Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow Data ; ooks; ;; enium<br />
Publishing; continually updated; and a member of the editorial board for the !n!/!!<br />
na!39nal !9!!nal 90 !/a!!B-2an1/!!!<br />
An ASME Fellow; Manglik serves on the Heat Transfer Division;s ;HTD; Executive<br />
Committee ;201; –20;. He previously served the HTD as chair of the K-10 Committee<br />
on Heat Transfer ECuipment ;201; –1; ;; member of the K-2 Committee on Long-Range<br />
Planning ;2011–1; ; and associate editor of the ;ournal of Heat Transfer ;200; –0; ;<br />
200; –0; ;. Manglik was also ASME;s chair for the 10th International ISHMT ;Indian<br />
Society for Heat and Mass Transfer;–ASME Heat and Mass Transfer Conference ;2011;<br />
and the HTD chair for the Summer Heat Transfer Conference; Fluids Engineering<br />
Division Summer Conference ;200; ;; and he has served in various capacities over the<br />
years for the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition and the<br />
Summer Heat Transfer Conference. He received the Society;s Melville Medal in 200;<br />
and the HTD;s ; ; th Anniversary Medal in 201; .<br />
Manglik is a senior member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and a<br />
member of ASHRAE; Sigma 0 i; the Scientific Research Society; and Tau ; eta Pi; the<br />
Engineering Honor Society.<br />
