EPE CLEAN SWEEP TRIAL
Many members are reluctant to try higher quality small electricals. So a couple of years
ago, we started the Clean Sweep Trial initiative with EPE. We initially ran with a set
range which included major brands and more expensive items. The concept was very
simple. The products were invoiced at special, fixed cost prices for the six months
between each show. Each store then had to maintain stock levels on each product
once a month. A new list of products was produced by EPE for each show. Any store
then had the option to return any unsold items which were in perfect condition to EPE
for a full credit.
This is a fabulous no risk trial to sell more upmarket electricals. All you have to do is
agree to maintain a minimum of 20 lines and ensure stock levels are kept up to date to
receive the special fixed cost prices.
We believe that this Clean Sweep Trial allows more stores to range a much stronger,
small electrical presence on a completely risk free basis. Details of EPE’s latest Clean
Sweep Trial can be found towards the back of this bulletin.
MONEY MAKERS
The new Money Maker concept was introduced in March 2016. The purpose was
simple, to help more stores carry core range sellers with increased margins.
Rather than being too ambitious, this year we started with just three main suppliers –
Churchill, Western House and Groupe Seb. Out of these suppliers, we will be
continuing this scheme with Churchill and Western House. At the end of this year, we
will carefully analyse the full year’s results and report back our findings.
