PPMA Show Preview
World preview of a sleeving
system will be seen at show
The MP136 sleeving system will make its debut at the PPMA Show and will demonstrate its flexibility, trouble-free running and high productivity benefits
The official UK launch
of the MP136 sleeving
system that is designed to
provide flexibility, trouble-free
running and high productivity
will be seen on Cama’s stand
at the NEC-based event.
This latest ‘Break-Through
Generation’ sleeving machine
can pack (neck in and/or neck
out) bottles, cups, jars, bricks,
tins/cans and thermoformed
containers from single and/or
double lane in up to three
product layers.
The sleeving machine
being demonstrated has been
designed to handle glass jars
in various configurations,
either in single or double layer,
at speeds of up to 300 sleeved
packs per minute.
“This design has been
conceived along TPM
(Total Productive Maintenance)
and 6 Sigma principles,”
explains Mark Brooker, director
of Cama UK.
In practice, the control
cabinets with the electric and
pneumatic components are
integrated into the machine
corners. This not only reduces
the machine’s footprint but also
minimises cabling, reduces
installation time and aids easy
placement within any factory.
The machine also delivers
ease of access for the operator
and for maintenance, improves
hygiene, reduces the number
of components in format
changes and also in component
utilisation. This in turn, delivers
reduced spares holding and
ease of maintenance.
“This philosophy is now
applied across the full range
of Cama Group packaging
machines and robotic packing
solutions,” says Brooker.
The company offers a complete
range of secondary packaging
machines such as forming,
closing and lidding machines;
top load & side load cartoners;
case packing for wraparound,
RSC or SRP cases.
Print & Check serialisation technology
The Serialisation Challenge: helping to get
the supply chain ready in time for deadline
Antares Vision solutions
are delivered in the UK and
Ireland by partner Crest
Solutions and at the show, the
two companies will showcase
the range of serialisation
and aggregation equipment
for quick compliance with
EU-FMD, DSCSA and other
regulatory requirements.
This equipment includes
Print & Check modules for
data printing and verification,
semi-automatic aggregation
units and dedicated software
solutions to manage
traceability at plant and also
at corporate level.
Antares Vision and Crest
Solutions offer the complete
and scalable solution for track
& trace in the pharmaceutical
packaging industry, to
support companies who face
the difficult task of complying
with regulations, while
keeping control on costs and
minimising validation efforts.
At line level, specialised
equipment must perform the
code printing and verification
of individual packs, while at
plant level the IT architecture
must ensure that work orders
with serialised data are
managed across multiple lines
and that all information is
stored safely.
Data is then exchanged
at corporate level, possibly
across multiple stakeholders
within the supply chain
(between licence owners
and contract manufacturers)
and ultimately notified to
governmental authorities.
