Sealers and wrappers on display
Aregular exhibitor at
the PPMA Show, Ulma
Packaging will again
display its latest high-speed
technology.
The company’s technical
team will be on hand to
provide details of the huge
variety of packaging solutions
it has available to cater for
almost any sector, including
the latest developments in
vertical form, fill and seal
technology, which combines
the new, patented air
extraction system.
Among the equipment being
showcased by Ulma will be
the TSA 680, an automatic
tray sealer ideal for all kinds
of preformed trays. This robust
technology can be integrated
into process automation and
combines high production
speeds with complete accuracy.
Continuous motion control
The Florida flow wrapper
will be demonstrated
software on the machine
optimises production by
ensuring that trays are always
accurately positioned in the
sealing area. This helps the unit
to deliver throughputs of up
to six trays per cycle, at speeds
up to 25 cycles per minute.
Fully automated lines
that will be demonstrated
include horizontal flow
wrappers, vertical baggers,
thermoforming and also
skin packaging.

Pickles. “Each year more

out Ulma for the latest
developments in cutting-edge
packaging technology and
this year will be no different.”
The flow wrappers to
be demonstrated are the
horizontal FV 35 and Florida
machines. The versatile
FV 35 creates a vacuum
pouch from a single
shrink barrier film,
suitable for processed
meat and cheese, as well
as pork and lamb.
The Florida offers a
three-sealing pillow pack
with high performance levels.
Also on show will be the
VTI 640 vertical bagger, one of
the company’s ranges of high
speed bagging equipment
designed for packing a wide
variety of food products, while
the TFS thermoformers use
specially designed top films
for enhancing the product’s
appearance and extending
shelf life.
