ceremony, the PPMA Show
2017 will also feature
all-new entertainment and
interactive features, including a
computer-controller goalkeeper,
known as RoboKeeper.
Described as the World’s Best
Goalie, the RoboKeeper has already
taken on the likes of footballers
Lionel Messi and Neymar and will
challenge visitors to try and score
a goal live at the show.
In keeping with the sector, the
RoboKeeper uses cutting-edge
robotics and vision technology to
react within fractions of a second.

Visitors can bring along
products to test at show
MDS is once
again attending
the PPMA
Show and is inviting
manufacturers from
the food, textiles and
pharmaceutical sectors
to bring product
samples to test its
equipment.
“The show allows
visitors to bring
samples with them to
test the equipment and
see for themselves how
effective our systems
will be within their
factories,” explains
MDS sales director
David Hale.
This year, MDS
will demonstrate
the PN21N machine
which is designed for the
pharmaceutical industry to
inspect tablets and capsules.
Also on display will be
the Multi Spectrum MS21
technology. This system
can deliver vastly improved
sensitivity using multiple
frequencies simultaneously,
giving an advantage over
conventional multi frequency
MDS will be demonstrating many
systems that deliver effective
detection across several sectors
detectors, says the company.
This metal detection
system will also incorporate a
conveyor/reject and will also
be built to adhere to the lastest
BRC as well as retailer codes
of practice.
Also on the
stand will
be the TE
SLD textile
system, which
is designed
for woven,
food and
pharmaceutical
applications.
Taking
centre stage is
a twin-headed
unit which
incorporates
MS21 Multispectrum
technology along
with the CEIA MN ferrous
in-foil head. This particular
unit is designed for both
normal and metal film
packaged products,
and products packed in
foil trays or sachets.
Again the system will
incorporate all the required
failsafe’s as standard.
MDS will also be running
its annual competition and
this time, the prize to the
winner is an Amazon Echo.
