Advances in gluing technology
includes several new products
Robatech Gluing
Technology will be
demonstrating what it
says is the future of gluing
at the PPMA Show. It will be
introducing its new tankless
Concept Stream and, with this
new product, it is extending
the offering of the proven
Concept line.
Modern applications and
technical innovations will
be the main theme of the
stand. Visitors will have the
chance to see new machinery,
find inspiration, new ideas
and solutions as well as talk
face-to-face with the leading
technical experts from the
company.
The new tankless melter
Concept Stream is described
as a true all-rounder for
maximum flexibility and
safety. Due to the gentle and
consumption-dependent
melting, it is suitable for
applications with high as well
as low adhesive consumption.
Thanks to the short heat-up
time of 16 minutes at 160deg C,
the Concept Stream is ready
for operation quickly and
The Concept Stream, the RobaPUR2 MOD melter and the new jetting head
promotes an efficient bonding
process. In addition, the
tried and tested CoolTouch
insulation reduces any risk
for the operator and minimises
energy consumption.
Also at the show, the new
RobaPUR 2 MOD melter is
designed for processing PUR
hot melts as well as various
other adhesives in different
block, granular or cushion
forms. Three variants, a very
high melting and delivery
rate, as well as melt-ondemand
technology makes
the unit ideal for use in simple
applications and also highly
dynamic processes such as
spinecoat and perfect binder
soft cover work.
Also, Robatech will
show the proven hot melt
application heads of the
Diamond Series. Precise,
durable and insulated with
CoolTouch, they can tackle
almost every gluing process.
Meanwhile, the new
SX LongLife jetting head is
ideal whenever durability
is demanded. SX LongLife is
the sustainable solution from
Robatech for the non-contact
application of low to medium
viscosity thermoplastic hot
melt adhesives. The longlasting
application head can
be used flexibly and offers
precise adhesive application
with perfect cut-off.
If visitors identify this range of bespoke mixing machines
and the markets they were built for…they can win a prize
Winkworth is exhibiting its
range of mixing machines
which includes the popular
Lab Z, coating pans, multichambered
ManyMix and
UT ribbon blender.
At the show, one of the
sides of the company’s stand
will be adorned with this snap
shot taken at its factory which
will present a challenge for
visitors. The photograph shows
a range of bespoke equipment
that is ready for collection and
visitors will be asked to match
the product to the machine
Can you guess what they are yet?
to have the chance to win a
mystery prize.
The winner will be the
person with all
the correct answers
drawn from the on-stand
business card pot.
Managing director at
Winkworth Grant Jamieson
believes there is a black art
in mixing. “This is why you
need experts like those in
the Winkworth sales team
who will be on the stand
to advise, guide, discuss
and importantly reveal the
answers,” he says. “Mixing
machines and their geometry
is a science and art – the
process of mixing always
belongs to our customers, but
our experts are first class and
assisting customers gain the
process which results in the
best outcomes,” he says.
