It was a glitzy affair as Tropicana City Mall (TCM) presented
the Miss Malaysia Tourism 2013 Fashion Runway
Challenge at its main atrium on 31 May 2013. The
winner of the challenge, Thaarah Ganesan, was awarded
the subsidiary title of ‘Miss Tropicana City Mall
Avant-garde’ and the honour of being the ambassadress
for Tropicana City Mall. Shoppers had the chance to see
the 18 finalists of the pageant for the first time on the
fashion runway. The finalists represented Malaysia’s
rich and unique mix of cultures, and one of them will
go on to represent Malaysia at the Miss Tourism International
World Final. They were elegantly dressed and
decked in accessories provided by the mall’s tenants as
they sashayed down the runway with unique collections
from Ann’s & Spicyholic, Yume Jewellery and Akemi-
UCHI. Their hairs were styled by the expert stylists of
Monsoon ID Hair Salon. Before the runway show began,
the finalists were treated to sumptuous meals hosted
by Kluang Station and Rakuzen Japanese Restaurant.
In addition, each finalist walked away with an exclusive
gift pack courtesy of Starbucks Coffee. The patrons of
the mall were also entertained by a special performance
by Suki Low, winner of the One in a Million competition
in 2006.
