City dwellers often spend time amongst concrete jungles,
battling traffic and long working hours. For most,
there is little time to enjoy the natural outdoors. Inspired
by this, interior designer, Nathanael Wong
decided to bring nature indoors with his piece titled
‘A Springtime Silhouette’, which won Nippon Paint’s
‘Create Your Moments with Momento’ contest. His
piece symbolises an abstract silhouette of a young
tree that has gone through its first winter. According
to Wong, he chose Nippon Momento Sparkle Silver
Monument MS 146 as the base because it brings out
the natural elements of his art piece, giving it an attractive
and rustic feel. Nippon Paint announced Wong as
the winner on 12 July in a dinner gathering at Teeq
Restaurant, comprising participating interior designers
and industry partners. He walked away with a pair
of tickets to the Salone Internazionate del Milan 2014.
During the prize giving ceremony, Nippon Paint also
launched the Nippon Momento Enhancer Series which
is a special line of semi-transparent Nippon Momento
Special Effect Paint. The key difference is that no
primer is needed. It can be applied immediately as a
glaze over any existing wall colour. The new Nippon
Momento Enhancer series is priced at RM105 and is
available at all Nippon Paint Momento outlets.
