WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
2
TROPICANA CITY MALL
Ground Floor - Friday, 31 May to 5 June 2013
In conjunction with World Environment Day, Tropicana
City Mall (TCM) held a six-day awareness campaign
from 31 May to 5 June 2013 at the Ground Floor nearby
Secret Recipe. TCM hosted Eco-Green Workshops for
children aged seven to nine years old, where they were
taught a variety of activities like traditional Chinese
calligraphy, painting pictures of the environment and
also paper art. The concept of recycling was introduced
through paper art, showcasing how a beautiful piece of
art can be made out of old discarded magazines. Moreover,
the children got the opportunity to let their creative
juices flow through challenges like flower arranging
and were taught how to make their own lunch box. The
workshops were in collaboration with Tzu Zhi Buddhist
Association through Jing Si Cafe, an association which is
actively promoting healthy lifestyle and eco-friendliness.
Besides the Eco-Green Workshops, shoppers enjoyed a
variety of organic produced products at the Eco-Green
Bazaar and limited edition Eco Green TCM Touch ‘n Go
cards were given away to those who spend a minimum
of RM150 at the mall.
