Okamura Debuts<br />

Renowned Japanese furniture manufacturing conglomerate<br />
Okamura announced its debut into Kuala<br />
Lumpur at a recent Japanese brunch media presentation<br />
held at XTRA Furniture’s showroom at <strong>The</strong> Gardens<br />
Mall. <strong>The</strong> event, which started at 11.00 am and<br />
ended at 12 noon, was attended by invited guests – David<br />
Tang, Sales Director for Okamura Southeast Asia,<br />
Kazuhiro Nomura, Managing Director of Okamura<br />
Singapore, and Tahnee Tang, Media Relations of<br />
XTRA Furniture – as well as members of the press.<br />
<strong>The</strong> launch was successful as members of the media<br />
had a firsthand taste of the history of the brand, the<br />
Okamura Green Workplace concept, Okamura’s signature<br />
products and the brand’s celebrity designer Giorgetto<br />
Giugiaro. After the press presentation, a lucky<br />
draw was held, in which two members of the media<br />
won an Okamura Zephyr Light Chair each. <strong>The</strong> event<br />
was a relaxed affair as guests were treated to Japanese<br />
refreshments, sushi by Hokkaido and ROYCE’ Chocolate<br />
while testing the various Okamura furnitures.<br />
