AVOIDING CONDITIONER
If you use a proactive shampoo,
something with either zinc pyrithione or selenium
sulfide, you can help cut back on the
amount of dandruff you are seeing. In addition,
a daily conditioner is a great idea, and
you can apply it to your hair even if you did
not shampoo that day. Conditioner puts nutrients
and vitamins back into the scalp and
keeps it from getting too dry. It’s essentially
a moisturizer, so make sure you use it.
3
NOT USING SUNSCREEN
The skin on your scalp is very delicate
and you should take care of it: that means
that you need to protect it from the sun
or risk having additional dandruff issues.
If you don’t have very long hair, it is possible
to put sunscreen on your scalp. Keep in
mind that if your hair is longer, sunscreen
might not be the best option for you. There
are other products that will help you avoid
UV rays. For example, you could pick up a
sun hat.
IGNORING ISSUES
If you have a lot of dandruff, you may
have a condition that needs to be evaluated
by a doctor. Don’t just ignore what is
happening. If you’ve tried everything you
can think of, visit a dermatologist so they
can help you figure out what you should
do next.
Dandruff can be very embarassing. It is up
to you to make a change. Evaluate your
options and start using some of the tips
above to help you get rid of your dandruff
once and for all.
