The United Kingdom bank loans and overdraft are secured by way of a first charge over the investment properties in the UK which are included in the
financial statements at a value of £13,245,000. The South African bank loans are secured by way of a first charge over specific pieces of mining
equipment, inventory and the debtors of the relevant company which holds the loan which are included in the financial statements at a value of
£6,123,500. No banking covenants were breached by the group during the year.
