lp uses the following environment variables:<br />

LPDEST<br />

Names the output device. This variable takes precedence over PRINTER.<br />

PRINTER<br />

Names the output device if LPDEST is not defined.<br />

v LC_MESSAGES<br />

lpstat — Show status of print queues (stub command)<br />

Format<br />

Description<br />

lpstat [–drst ] [–a [list]] [–c [list]] [–o [list]] [–p [list]] [–u [list]] [–v] [list] [queue_id ...]<br />

lpstat shows the status of print queue or queues, specified by queue_id. If no<br />

queue_id is given, lpstat lists information for all of the printers on the system.<br />

lpstat is recognized, but its functions are not supported.<br />

If you are using the z/<strong>OS</strong> Print Server Feature, your system automatically uses that<br />

version of the lpstat command. For more information about the z/<strong>OS</strong> Print Server<br />

commands, see z/<strong>OS</strong> Infoprint Server User’s Guide.<br />

ls — List file and directory names and attributes<br />

Format<br />

ls [–AabCcdEFfgHikLlmMnopqRrstuWx1] [pathname ...]<br />
