General Use<br />

The following list presents z/<strong>OS</strong> shell commands and utilities grouped by the task a<br />

user might want to perform. Similar tasks are organized together. Stub commands<br />

(cancel, cu and lpstat) are not listed because their functions are not supported by<br />

z/<strong>OS</strong> <strong>UNIX</strong> <strong>System</strong> <strong>Services</strong>.<br />

The list also shows the command name, the standard or specification it satisfies,<br />

and its function. XPG4.2 refers to “X/Open CAE Issue 4 Version 2 Specifications”.<br />

XPG5.0 refers to “X/Open CAE Issue 5 Specifications”.<br />
