OMVS<br />

line with the cursor becomes the middle line. (This option is also available<br />

in subcommand mode.)<br />

HELP<br />

Temporarily suspends the session and displays the help information for the<br />

OMVS command. The scrolling function keys can be used to look at the<br />

help information. To exit the help information, press the Return function key.<br />

(This option is also available in subcommand mode.)<br />

HIDE | NOHIDE<br />

Temporarily hides or unhides the input data you type on the shell command<br />

line. If you press this PF key while the input area is hidden, the input area<br />

is made visible. If it is not hidden, the input area is hidden.<br />

The input area stays hidden or unhidden until:<br />

v You press .<br />

v You press the HIDE | NOHIDE PF key.<br />

v You switch to another session, escape to TSO/E and return, or enter<br />

subcommand mode and return.<br />

If OMVS is running in NOECHO mode, the input area will be visible after<br />

you take one of these actions. If OMVS is running in ECHO mode, the<br />

visibility of the input area depends on the shell command you are running.<br />

NEXTSESS<br />

Switches to the next (higher-numbered) session (also available in<br />

subcommand mode).<br />

NO<br />

Deactivates a function key so that it doesn’t do anything (also available in<br />

subcommand mode).<br />

OPEN<br />

Starts a new shell session and switches to it (also available in subcommand<br />

mode).<br />

PFSHOW | NOPFSHOW<br />

Toggles on and off the display of the active function key settings at the<br />

bottom of the screen (also available in subcommand mode, and can be<br />

used as PF and NOPF).<br />

PREVSESS<br />

Switches to the previous (lower-numbered) session (also available in<br />

subcommand mode).<br />

QUIT<br />

Ends the displayed session and switches to another one, or returns to<br />

TSO/E if the only session was closed (also available in subcommand<br />

mode).<br />

QUITALL<br />

Ends all shell sessions and causes OMVS to end and to return to TSO/E<br />

(also available in subcommand mode).<br />

REFRESH<br />

Updates the screen with the latest output data. Use this function key if the<br />

display of output is incomplete, but the session is now displaying INPUT<br />

status. For more information on the status field, see z/<strong>OS</strong> <strong>UNIX</strong> <strong>System</strong><br />

<strong>Services</strong> User’s Guide. (This option is also available in subcommand<br />

mode.)<br />
