unpack uses the following file:<br />

pk$* Temporary copy of input file. (You may see this in the current directory if<br />

unpack is interrupted.) The file is located in the same directory as the file<br />

being unpacked.<br />

0 Successful completion<br />

n Indicates that files could not be unpacked properly. For example, if three out<br />

of six files could not be unpacked properly, the exit status is 3.<br />

Possible reasons for failure include:<br />

v Unknown command-line option<br />

v Error creating a name for a temporary file<br />

v Error opening an input file or a temporary file<br />

v Error writing to a temporary file<br />

v Inability to rename a temporary file<br />

v Inability to restore the modification time on a packed file<br />

v Input file was not packed<br />

v A packed file is corrupt<br />

Possible error messages include:<br />

file: Not a packed file<br />

pack did not process the file. In this case, the file is not changed.<br />

unset — Unset values and attributes of variables and functions<br />

Format<br />

Description<br />

unset name ...<br />

unset –fv name ...<br />

tcsh shell: unset pattern<br />

Calling unset with no options removes the value and attributes of each variable or<br />

function name.<br />
