2017: Conner Manning tossed one touchdown and totaled 276 yards to earn MVP accolades and lead Georgia<br />
State over Western Kentucky, 27-17, in the AutoNation Cure Bowl benefitting the Breast Cancer Research<br />
Foundation (BCRF). Georgia State earned its first bowl victory in school history. A check was presented to charity<br />
partner BCRF for $3.55 million, showcasing the three-year total donation.<br />
2016: Kendall Sanders caught three touchdown passes and accumulated 127 yards to earn MVP honors,<br />
leading the Arkansas State over UCF, 31-13, in the AutoNation Cure Bowl presented by Florida Hospital. The<br />
game featuring the hometown Knights was played in front of a crowd of 27,213 at Camping World Stadium.<br />
AutoNation and Orlando Sports Foundation teamed up to present a charitable donation of $1.15 million to the<br />
Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) at the end of the first quarter.<br />
2015: Game sponsor AutoNation presented a $1 million check to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation<br />
following the end of the first quarter. At halftime, the Orlando Sports Foundation presented the BCRF with a<br />
check for $150,000. It is the largest donation ever made by a bowl game to a charitable cause. With players and<br />
coaches on both teams having been effected by cancer -- San Jose State safety Simon Connette lost his mother to<br />
the disease last spring and Carrizosa's mother is fighting it -- the game took on a special meaning.<br />
Top Individual Performances:<br />
Conner Manning, QB, Georgia State, 2017 – Threw for 276 yards and one touchdown in leading Georgia State<br />
to a 27-17 victory over Western Kentucky in the third annual AutoNation Cure Bowl. Manning also added 24<br />
yards on the ground and connected with WR Tamir Jones for a 49-yard reception.<br />
Kendall Sanders, WR, Arkansas State, 2016 – Caught touchdown passes of 75 yards, 17 yards and 12 yards to<br />
earn MVP honors in helping Arkansas State defeat UCF, 31-13, in the 2016 AutoNation Cure Bowl. Saunders<br />
finished with five receptions for 127 yards and three touchdowns.<br />
Kenny Potter, QB, San Jose State, 2015 -- Scored on a 42-yard run and threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Josh<br />
Oliver in San Jose State's 27-16 comeback victory over Georgia State in the inaugural AutoNation Cure Bowl.<br />

The Georgia State Panthers won the 2017 AutoNation Cure Bowl benefitting the Breast Cancer Research<br />
Foundation (BCRF), their first bowl victory in school history, by defeating the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers,<br />
27-17. GSU senior quarterback Conner Manning was named the Most Valuable Player following the victory after<br />
tallying 276 yards and one touchdown on 20 completions. The Panthers broke a 10-10 deadlock in the second<br />
quarter on a 37-yard field goal by Brandon Wight. A 42-yard reception by Roger Carter put GSU up 20-10 with<br />
5:50 left in the third quarter. Kyler Neal capped a 9:01 Panthers’ drive at 5:50 of the fourth quarter with a 1-yard<br />
plunge into the endzone for the Panthers. WKU cut its deficit with just over two minutes remaining after Mike<br />
White connected with Deon Yedler for a second touchdown on a 4-yard reception. Yelder also caught a 54-yard<br />
touchdown pass in the first quarter.<br />
