IT’S NO SECRET that this is the era of<br />

colour. “It’s having a moment,” says Paul<br />

Stafford, owner of Paul Stafford in Belfast and<br />

ALFAPARF Milano global brand ambassador.<br />

Over the past few years the influence of<br />

Instagram has been felt. “People are becoming<br />

more conservative about their cuts – they want<br />

a change while still retaining their length, and<br />

this is when they turn to colour.”<br />

“A big game-changer was the bleached<br />

grey trend, which made its way out of the<br />

backstreets of London and Berlin and<br />

captured the imagination of the public,”<br />

Paul continues. “It indicates an element of<br />

freedom in choosing to have grey hair, and<br />

gives the option to move into metallic coppers<br />

and rose golds.”<br />

Now colour is more exciting than ever,<br />

Paul chooses ALFAPARF Milano colours<br />

to achieve his unique vision, most recently<br />

in his new collection. “My most recent<br />

collection was inspired by ’90s New York club<br />

culture,” he reveals. “ALFAPARF Milano<br />

Revolution Neon colours enabled us to create<br />

bright colours and adapt them in a modern<br />

way – great colour palettes give you the<br />

freedom to do this.”<br />

And he shares his wisdom regularly at<br />

Xpert ACCADEMIA in Dublin. “I’m at the<br />

Xpert ACCADEMIA about three times a<br />

month and most of my staff have ALFAPARF<br />

Milano Colour Master degrees,” he explains.<br />

“I can hardly keep up with the rate of<br />
