What’s on in
Peterborough
Christmas may be over but Peterborough shows no
sign of slowing down its social calendar. This year
the city has many great reasons to visit. Its shopping
centres, dining scene and magnificent cathedral may
be top of visitors’ lists, but a special event can be a
great excuse for planning a weekend away - or an
added bonus to an existing break. Peterborough has
events taking place throughout the year so there’s
never a dull moment. Get your diary ready and plan
your next trip with one of these fun-filled days out:
Katharine of Aragon Festival, 25-27 January
Peterborough Abbey, following her death in exile at Kimbolton
Castle. She rests at the Cathedral to this day! The festival
features a busy line up of interesting talks, tours, services, crafts
and period entertainment.
band and Shakespeare’s poetic language, to bring this colourful
production to life. Tickets, from £11 - £25, are now on sale via
the crowds on the river banks and cheer on the crews as they
challenge each other in a 200m race. It’s a great family day out
with additional entertainment. Why not enter yourself and get
