cowl cover<strong>in</strong>g his shorn head; <strong>the</strong> Capuch<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong> his<br />

funnel-shaped cowl, and patched brown cloak,<br />

girded with a white three-knotted rope; and <strong>the</strong><br />

August<strong>in</strong>e with a little round hat on his shaven<br />

head, and wide black gown girded on <strong>the</strong> lo<strong>in</strong>s with<br />

a broad sash. After <strong>the</strong> monks walked <strong>the</strong> priests<br />

and canons <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> city.<br />
