Slaves to the screen
It's official, 72% of millennials can't go
on holiday without their phone, at least
according to research from international
mobile service provider, TravelSim.
Its UK survey revealed we are spending
over 32 hours a week on our phones and
tablets whilst on holiday. On average,
women spend over three hours on social
media, while men scroll for two and a
half hours, and 59% of parents take tech
on holiday to entertain the kids.
Manchester and Newcastle claim the
highest number of people (62%) needing
a digital detox while Norwich dwellers
are smugly the least reliant on tech.
Video streaming apps are most
popular, followed by Facebook and
messaging, Instagram and emails.
Beers of the world
The global average price of a pint is
£2.63, according to comparison site
Finder. So why, you may ask, does a
pint in the UK cost upwards of £3.70? If
you reside in London, you will likely pay
£5.18. But don't cry in your beer and
take some comfort by this: the dearest
was found in Doha, Qatar, at £10.30.
Or just move to Maputo, Mozambique,
where it's 39p. finder.com/uk
