part of an amazing community that
celebrates your strengths outside
of the classroom.
We're a holding an event where
young people can showcase their
talents. The Takeover Festival
is happening on Saturday 9th
November at Ipswich Library, with
workshops running from 11am to
5pm, and live music from 6:30pm
to 11pm.
We can all agree that celebrating
creative strengths is incredibly
important for giving young people
the best chance to be successful in
what they want to achieve.

artwork or just perform, then please email

can get involved in the Takeover Festival.

SHORT STORY
COMPETITION 2019
CALLING ALL WRITERS!
Do you enjoy short stories? Fancy having
a go at writing one? Student Life welcome
your short stories in any fictional genre
and on any subject; stories with compelling
characters, sparkling dialogue and strong,
original voices.
The competition will run from September
1st to December 31st.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
The competition is FREE to enter but
is limited to one entry per student.
Word limit: 1,000 words maximum
(no minimum). Title not included.
PRIZES:
Shortlisted entries will receive
tickets to Student Life’s Winter Ball in
February (along with a +1) where the
winner will be announced. First place
will receive £100 and a certificate
of achievement.
