DERMAPLANING
Dermaplaning is a safe and highly
effective cosmetic procedure. It requires
the use of a sterile scalpel to remove
excess dead skin and fine hairs (known
as peach fuzz). This physical exfoliation
procedure has many benefits, including
better product penetration, increased
stimulation of collagen and elastin, as well
as glowy, soft, bright and smooth skin for
2–4 weeks. It also improves skin texture,
lessens acne breakouts and gives flawless
make up application post treatment. What
more could you want for your skin?

Initially, when I found out that my
aesthetician was removing the top layer of
my skin with a blade, I panicked in fear of
getting sliced; I also thought it was going
to be painful. Thankfully, I could not have
been more wrong. I was made to feel at
ease and the procedure was completely
pain free – I actually think it felt quite nice!
The whole experience was super relaxing
and I cannot express how perfect my skin
felt afterwards; I even got a free sheet
mask. My skin is the best it has ever been
and writing this three days later, it still
feels flawless.
I’ve always been lucky in the sense
that I have quite “good skin”, but I was
completely shocked at how much dirt,
dead skin and hair was removed from
my face; it’s actually pretty gross when
you think about it [as you can see from
the picture]. I think this proved that this
treatment really is for every skin type
and everyone will benefit from it – my
boyfriend is even booked in to have
it done next week!

to go back and have it done again!
