HANK’S DELI
REVIEW

Hank’s Deli is a brand new 100% vegan deli
and shop that opened on Lloyds Avenue,
Ipswich. When I first saw this, I was amazed!
There is nothing like this that I have come
across around this area, and it is so nice
to have a completely vegan deli/café and
shop, where you can purchase a lot of vegan
products that are otherwise hard to find!
Alongside Hullabaloo and the TFI Vegan
Burger Van, Hank’s Deli is an amazing
establishment to join the market!
Now, I cannot lie, I have been to the deli
quite a few times and I definitely have a
few firm favourites! The Rocky Road is
AMAZING – the best I have ever had, and I
don’t usually like it. I’ve now been back on
several occasions to buy more for myself,
and my friends and family, non-vegan,
and they love it too!
Recently, I’ve tried the BBQ Chick’n (fake
meat) Roll which is delicious. I’m really
unsure of the meat substitute that they use,
but it is definitely one of the best I’ve tried.
It comes in a golden brioche bun with crispy
lettuce, tomato, homemade mayo and their
crunchy, creamy coleslaw. They also do a
BBQ Pulled Jackfruit alternative which I am
yet to try!
A special mention has to go to the Biscoff
Cheesecake and Blueberry & Chocolate
Muffin. Oh, and aaaalllll of their Brownies
– Fudge, Biscoff, Oreo and Gluten Free – yes
I’ve tried them all! Their sweet treat counter
is definitely the best I’ve seen and you will
not be disappointed by anything you buy.
Everything is also very reasonably priced
considering the quality of the products;
vegan food is known to be very expensive
but being affordable is another reason why
I love Hank’s.
Another speciality is Hank’s Vegan Tuna
Chickpea Wrap that I had with their Lentil
Salad. Both make a very good and filling
lunch. I’d never had a vegan alternative
to Tuna before then, and I was pleasantly
surprised; it is really nice and tasty. I really
want to try their lunch boxes.
As you can probably tell, I am a little bit
obsessed with Hank’s Deli! It’s not only the
food and affordability that makes Hank’s
attractive, but also the atmosphere, variety
(that vegans usually get a lack of) and the
service! The staff are always SO friendly and
you can tell that they really appreciate the
support – they even remember the regular
faces!
I cannot wait to go back and try their
Full Breakfast, as well as their brand new
Clucky’s Crispy Fillet Burger. Check out their
