Italy: the lift exhibition is back
Italia: il ritorno
degli ascensori in fiera
Maddalena Parotelli
F
rom 20 th to 23 rd May the first edition
of Lift Expo Italia 2020 will be held
in Milan. Elevatori Magazine met
the organizers of the event, including Gianluca
Ferrari (Lift Expo Italia 2020 CEO), Gianni
Robertelli and Stefano Centoducati, respectively
president and general secretary of Anica (Italian
Association of Lift Components Companies),
which is promoting the event. The following
is an interview with their opinions.
After a decade of experimentation, the standard
format of the lift exhibition is back: a three-day
full immersion of product displays and training
sessions. Can you tell us more?
“Lift Expo Italia 2020 – Gianni Robertelli says
– is the natural outcome of the formula used
until two years ago, which was considered as
restrictive by Anica Members. There was a clear
need for a larger and more prominent showcase,
in the style of an exhibition, with no limits in
terms of volume and weight of the materials
on display, with no logistical issues involved,
with no economic constraints connected to
stringent hotel packages and open to the most
qualified international manufacturers, which
will be certainly interested in the most important
European lift market, and who are very welcome.
I would like to point out that Lift Expo Italia
2020 exhibition (Anica’s exclusive property) is
aimed at promoting the growth and development
of the lift sector, especially in Italy”.
Stefano Centoducati, Secretary General, also
agrees, adding: “In addition to having more
space available and fewer limits, as Gianni
Robertelli mentioned earlier, the aim is to bring
foreign stakeholders back to visit the Italian
trade fair involving mainly exhibitors from
2020), Gianni Robertelli e Stefano Centoducati,
rispettivamente presidente e segretario generale
di Anica (Associazione Nazionale delle Industrie
di Componenti per Ascensori) promotrice della
manifestazione.
formativi. Da cosa è stata dettata questa scelta?
“Lift Expo Italia 2020 – afferma Gianni Robertelli
– rappresenta lo sviluppo naturale della formula
impiegata fino a due anni fa, reputata limitativa dagli
Associati Anica.
economici legati a formule alberghiere troppo
settore ascensoristico in Italia, in particolare”.
accennava poc’anzi Gianni Robertelli, l’obiettivo
