as the generation of today, people being raised poorly, the sex, finances, and ahost of other reasons; however, all of it stems from a lack of connection.When you have a genuine connection, you want to work through thingstogether. When the connection isn’t there and the money isn’t right, or the sexis off, now you face the reality that you never liked who they truly were, andyou don't want to deal with them. You may not say it, but part of you thinks it.If there’s no genuine connection, there’s not enough desire and love foreach other to want to overcome these obstacles, to want to persevere. Even insituations where people stay together, despite that lack, they’re not workingpassed those issues. They drag things along and let things pile up until oneday it completely explodes and they can’t keep it together anymore.There are other ramifications that can occur from this disconnect whichleads to a extremely unhealthy household. Despite believing staying togetheris best, the disconnect can negatively affect the children. It may havehappened in some of your lives. You may have grown up in a householdwhere your parents (married or single) created a false and unhealthyperception of love and relationships. An unhealthy environment due to brokenrelationships and people who had no connection trying to deal with oneanother.It doesn’t work.It’s dangerous and I don’t want you to move forward ignoring it. That’snot what God wants. He knows it’s necessary.As I said earlier in the chapter, a connection is like two spirits recognizingtheir counterpart. God wants you to be with your counterpart. He wants you tobe with the person you’re truly aligned with and be able to walk the path He’sdesigned for you both.That’s not going to happen with a man where there’s no real connection.Be mindful of this.Keep your eyes open, don’t ignore your intuition, and know that you haveto truly connect this person.You have to like who they are and that starts with being yourself. Get toknow who you are, love who you are, show the world; and the man that is foryou, who truly loves you, will embrace that person.I had a client once, and we’ll call her “Patricia,” who came to me becauseshe was struggling with relationships.She was frustrated and couldn’t understand why she didn’t have greatersuccess in that area, despite the belief of being a great catch. Overall, Patriciais successful and accomplished but when it came to love and men, thingsalways fell apart. So my question, always, at some point in the session is didyou pray and ask God should you be dealing with these men?
