Cramele Recas<br />
Founded by Bristol-born Philip Cox and his Romanian wife Elvira in 1998,<br />
Cramele Recas has grown using state of the art equipment and methods to<br />
create high-quality, great value wine; now producing a little over 65 wines under<br />
247 different labels. Replanted on ancient vineyards dating back to 15th century,<br />
the 1,250 hectares of Cramele Recas vineyard are located in the Romanian<br />
region of Banat, where the climate is warm, continental and on the same<br />
latitude as Bordeaux. The tradition of the wine region is perfectly expressed<br />
through Cramele Recas’ developing range of modern, fruit driven wines.<br />
The 2019 vintage recorded 22 million litres across its three wineries (the<br />
Timisoara headquarters, plus two new partner wineries in the east of Romania,<br />
in Odobesti and Pestera). All of their wines are suitable for vegetarians and<br />
vegans and are made with sustainable estate grown grapes.<br />
