The Deep - making a difference<br />
Cornwall’s seas are the jewel in our crown; home to huge basking sharks,<br />
dolphins, seals and a rich wealth of beautiful creatures. We also have incredible<br />
underwater landscapes including rocky reefs, kelp forests and coral gardens.<br />
The Living Seas team works to protect our incredible marine wildlife through<br />
surveying and monitoring our seas and campaigning for better protection.<br />
They work with the fishing industry to encourage sustainability and the Cornwall<br />
Wildlife Trust also supports a huge network of local marine groups who carry out<br />
beach cleans, recording wildlife and working to conserve their patch. With every<br />
bottle sold from our new The Deep range, a donation will be made to Cornwall<br />
Wildlife Trust’s Living Seas programme. Matt Slater, CWT Marine Officer said<br />
“Donations made from sales of The Deep wines will make a real difference to our<br />
work protecting this amazing marine environment. Cornwall’s seas are inspiring<br />
and wild but they are under threat from plastic pollution, climate change and<br />
unsustainable fishing".<br />
