REVIEW
Only ten years remain to implement
2030 Agenda and the sustainable
development goals (SDGs). In this regard,
the macondo foundation and the German
Global Compact Network (DGCN) organized
the Global Goals Forum in Berlin,
with the conference aptly titled “2030
Agenda: Are we running out of time?”
on October,10, 2019. Leaders from business,
politics, civil society and academia
were invited to discuss this topic, and
the event was hosted around 400 guests.
The Forum took stock of the progress
made and the need for action in implementing
the SDGs, also known as
the Global Goals, four years after their
adoption by the international community.
The conference included exclusive
video messages from António Guterres,
Secretary-General of the United Nations,
and Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General
of the United Nations, both
of whom highlighted the important voice
of business in effectively implementing
the Global Goals by 2030. >>
