new CEO

Thomas Hunziker has headed CWA

2020. He was born in Lucerne and had been

onto the market and industrialized manufacture.

Following in the footsteps of last year’s "Best
of the Best" award for the OMEGA V, CWA has
now received a new accolade with the Red Dot
Award: Product Design 2020 for its 3S cabin,
the ATRIA. This prestigious award is a seal that
identifies top design quality and is only conferred
for products that demonstrate design
excellence. According to the jury, the deciding
factor for the award was the consistent, understated
appearance that gives the ATRIA its
timeless elegance. The uncluttered cabin interior
creates a sense of calm and security.
With more than 6,500 products submitted for
the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2020 from
60 nations, this year marks a record number
of entries.
Marcel Nussbaumer is the new head of
marketing & sales at Garaventa
Marcel Nussbaumer was appointed as the
new marketing & sales director and a member
of the executive board of Garaventa AG in May
2020. He has already been a passionate team
member at the company for 16 years. Prior to
taking on this new role, he spent eleven years
as head of the project engineering department
for continuous-movement ropeways. In 2015,
he became a project manager in sales.
