More importantly, though, users can work their way through a timeline, subject<br />

groups, guided tours or learning modules, as illustrated in Figure 4. Guided<br />

Tours, for instance, “<strong>of</strong>fers the chance to follow stories and paths linked across<br />

time. For example, they trace the part played by women in science and<br />

technology and the role <strong>of</strong> specific technologies as tools for the employment and<br />

integration <strong>of</strong> successive immigrant communities.” 53<br />
