Strategic Steps were Determined<br />
While evaluating in a broad perspective, from access to<br />
finance to logistics, from new international regulations<br />
to high value-added products, solution proposals that<br />
will carry the pharmaceutical industry to the future,<br />
and strategic steps to be taken in the short and medium<br />
term were determined with joint mind studies are at the<br />
roundtable meetings.<br />
Adil Pelister: “Our pharmaceutical product group<br />
exports increased by 19.4 percent”<br />
Making a presentation at the <strong>Pharma</strong>ceutical Industry<br />
Future Research Workshop, İKMİB Chairman of the Board<br />
Adil Pelister gave detailed information about the activities<br />
İKMİB has carried out so far. Stating that the exports<br />
of the pharmaceutical product group, which includes<br />
drugs, have increased from 863 million dollars to 1 billion<br />
425 million dollars in the last 5 years, Pelister said, “The<br />
exports of our pharmaceutical product group increased<br />
by 19.4 percent last year compared to 2020. While<br />
we exported 1.4 billion dollars in 2021, our imports<br />
amounted to 6.8 billion dollars. The top five countries to<br />
which we exported the most in 2021 were Azerbaijan-<br />
Nakhchivan, Iraq, Iran, Thrace Free Zone and Germany,<br />
respectively. Exports to these five countries constitute<br />
30.9 percent of the total exports in the sector. While<br />
our exports to Azerbaijan-Nakhchivan increased by<br />
145.75 percent, our exports to Iran increased by 153.43<br />
percent. We anticipate that our exports will continue to<br />
accelerate this year as well.”<br />
“We want to put the Chemical Technology Center into<br />
operation by the end of the year”<br />
Providing information about the latest status of the<br />
Chemical Technology Center (KTM), the most important<br />
project of İKMİB, Pelister said, “Within the scope of our<br />
İKMİB Chemical Technology Center establishment efforts,<br />
we have held various meetings and visited important<br />
universities and organizations. We are establishing a<br />
Chemical Technology Center where our companies in the<br />
chemical industry can get their certificates, where there<br />
are accredited tests and laboratories, where there are<br />
start-up areas, where search conferences can be held,<br />
and where there is a digital library. We established our<br />
company with the approval of our Ministry of Commerce<br />
under the name of “Chemistry Research Technology and<br />
Innovation Center (KATİM) A.Ş” in order to carry out the<br />
activities of KTM, whose feasibility studies we continue.<br />
We are continuing our preparations to put our Chemistry<br />
Technology Center into operation by the end of this year,<br />
which will begin to serve primarily our paint, plastic and<br />
plastic products, cosmetics and rubber industries.”<br />

ihracatın yüzde 30,9’unu oluşturuyor. Azerbaycan-<br />
Nahçivan’a ihracatımız yüzde 145,75 artarken, İran’a<br />
ihracatımız ise yüzde 153,43 arttı. Bu yıl da ihracatımızın<br />
artış ivmesini sürdüreceğini öngörüyoruz” dedi.<br />
“Kimya Teknoloji Merkezi’ni yıl sonuna kadar faaliyete<br />
almak istiyoruz”<br />
İKMİB’in en önemli projesi Kimya Teknoloji<br />
Merkezi’nin (KTM) son durumuna ilişkin bilgi veren<br />
Pelister, “İKMİB Kimya Teknoloji Merkezi kurulum<br />
çalışmalarımız kapsamında bugüne kadar çeşitli<br />
toplantılar gerçekleştirdik ve önemli üniversite ve<br />
kuruluşlara ziyaretlerde bulunduk. Kimya sektöründeki<br />
firmalarımızın sertifikalarını alabileceği, akredite test<br />
ve laboratuvarların olduğu, start-up alanlarının olduğu,<br />
arama konferanslarının yapılabileceği aynı zamanda<br />
dijital kütüphanesinin olduğu bir Kimya Teknoloji Merkezi<br />
kuruyoruz. Fizibilite çalışmalarına devam ettiğimiz<br />
KTM’nin faaliyetlerini yürütebilmesi amacıyla “Kimya<br />
Araştırma Teknoloji ve İnovasyon Merkezi (KATİM) A.Ş”<br />
adıyla Ticaret Bakanlığımızın onayı ile şirketimizi kurduk.<br />
Öncelikle boya, plastik ve plastik mamulleri, kozmetik ve<br />
kauçuk sektörlerimize hizmet vermeye başlayacak Kimya<br />
Teknoloji Merkezimizi bu yılın sonuna kadar faaliyete<br />
almak üzere hazırlıklarımıza devam ediyoruz” ifadelerini<br />
kullandı.<br />
