News Team at the First Ever
U.S. Kukkiwon Expo
Under the progressive leadership of its new president Grandmaster
Lee, Dong Sup, Kukkiwon is truly advancing its reach
throughout the world as evidenced by the upcoming historical
event. There is much anticipation in the martial arts industry in
relation to the 2022 Kukkiwon Taekwondo EXPO, which will be the
first of its kind to take place in the U.S. This unprecedented event
will take place during the week of June 27 through July 4, 2022 at
the Hyatt Regency Dulles in Virginia and Martial Arts World News
Magazine will be there covering all of the exciting components of
the EXPO.
The event is billed as an International Symposium of the Kukkiwon
Taekwondo program and will be hosted by the current
Kukkiwon president Grandmaster Dong Sup Lee.
This first of its kind U.S. EXPO will feature 5 important events:
The Presidents Cup Championship, the International Taekwondo
Master Certification Course, Taekwondo Poom/Dan Examiner
Course, an Open Forum and Banquet with the Kukkiwon President,
an exciting performance of the world famous Kukkiwon
Demo Team and a powerful dojang business
growth seminar - Leading Through a Crisis (open
to school owners of any style or art!). It’s easy
to see why there is so much anticipation and
excitement in the martial arts industry!

Here are a few more details:
The Presidents Cup Championship is an open competition for
all ages and levels of Tae Kwon Do practitioners. The competition
categories will be in Forms, Sparring, Breaking, and Demo Team
presentation. Each category will be for the coveted Kukkiwon
International Championship Title.
The Kukkiwon Academy will feature two certification courses.
It will consist of a 7 day Certification Course that will be for International
Taekwondo Master and Taekwondo Poom/Dan Examiner.
Also, the recently published Kukkiwon practical self-defense
course will be showcased as well.
Don’t miss the school (Dojang) management seminar, designed
to help school operators recover from the COVID crisis,
and drive their business to new levels of performance and profitability
even in these challenging times. The Leading Through a
Crisis Seminar will get your school back on its feet, and ready to
set new records in 2022.
The Open Forum / Banquet will be led by Kukkiwon
president Grandmaster Lee, Dong Sup. The forum
will be an open discussion covering the development
of Taekwondo in which Grandmaster Lee
wishes to hear what he can do to help support
and further improve relations with Taekwondo
leaders in the west.
The World famous Kukkiwon Demo Team will
put on a performance to be remembered. They
will be presenting the new developed practical
self-defense from the approved curriculum.
