Impure spirits are called luces oscuras, or dark or negative lights. These<br />
spirits act as parasites to the light. Like black holes, they take and take, but<br />
never give back. Whereas spirits of light bring blessings and help lesser<br />
spirits evolve, spirits of darkness eat up blessings and work to draw higher<br />
spirits down, causing a backward motion. By doing so, they feed off the<br />
pain they've created—sort of like crabs in a barrel.<br />
But the light is non-discriminating. Its fuerza, its power, is not the same<br />
as its purity. A spirit can have a strong light whether it uses it for positive or<br />
negative ends. Thus, on all planes, there are spirits who are powerful,<br />
although they may not all be good spirits.<br />
Pure Spirits<br />
Pure spirits are the closest to God and most closely embody the pure<br />
principles of the spiritual world. They are also known as the perfect spirits,<br />
or the superior spirits. All pure spirits have reached a state of total<br />
enlightenment. As enlightened beings, they have been absorbed into God<br />
and act only on God's will.<br />
Within this realm, there are no levels or degrees. Nor do these spirits<br />
have names. Rather, they work on behalf of principles and pure energies.<br />
Spirits of truth and love, spirits of compassion, and certain angels,<br />
cherubim, and seraphim are all considered to be pure spirits as well.<br />
When the pure spirits come through, their wisdom helps lead to<br />
awakening, clarity, and wisdom. Many of them are teachers, spiritual<br />
masters, or master teachers. They dispense the pure teachings of truth,<br />
inspire epiphanies, and show the way.<br />
Good Spirits<br />
Good spirits are aware of God and have some understanding of the Divine.<br />
They seek to do good in the world, and to be charitable, kind, and loving<br />
toward others. They work consciously on their own development and<br />
progression. Within this realm, there are many types of spirits that have<br />
various levels of light.<br />
