you’d only find in a dream. Thankfully, Kata beach is<br />
completely real. Miles away from the throb of busy<br />
Patong, this laid-back slice of Phuket is almost too good<br />
to be true.<br />
One of the many great things about visiting Kata Beach is<br />
that, even when it’s busy, it doesn’t feel crowded. There’s<br />
plenty of space to sunbathe, take a dip in the impossibly<br />
blue water, or get a massage on the beach without feeling<br />
like you’re stepping on anyone’s toes.<br />
Best Time of the Year to Visit<br />
Heading out to Thailand is ideal for anyone that lives in<br />
Europe. While everyone else shivers through a damp<br />
autumn and winter at home, November to February are<br />
the prime months to visit Thailand. Staying mainly dry<br />
after the rainy season, you can expect to bask in 30°C<br />
weather and even beat some of the bigger crowds.<br />
Things to Do<br />
Kata Beach is in a protected cover, so the water is<br />
incredibly calm most of the time. This makes it ideal for<br />
families that want to splash around or for snorkellers that<br />
want to meet the local wildlife. If you visit during monsoon<br />
season, however, the beach becomes a surfer’s paradise.<br />
The water’s still warm and the waves are incredibly<br />
reliable.<br />
