feet and, as a precaution for people with heart problems due to the
lack of oxygen, passengers are asked to follow the music group
slowly to the terminal. This one was totally new to me.
The bus was waiting at the airport and transported us to the hotel.
A little while after checking in, we went to our room to relax. A
few minutes later, we heard someone knocking at the door. I
opened the door and there was a nice young lady with tea. I
thanked her. We learned that tea is served to all hotel guests when
they arrive. The tea is made out of a combination of herbal and
coco leaves to make you relax. I looked at my wife and laughed,
“My God! Now we can’t deny that we have ever experienced
drugs.”
The following morning, we took a tour of the Sacred Valley, where
we watched and learned about llamas and alpacas, and ancient
weaving techniques that are still in use. We also visited beautiful
churches, full of silver decorations. It was fascinating. But the real
reason to travel to Peru was to see Machu Picchu, one of the Seven
Wonders of the World. We took a train ride passed the Andean
peaks, where we got an understanding of Incan history, culture and
civilization. The next morning, after breakfast, we walked to see
the unmatched sunrise at Machu Picchu, and visited the numerous
ruins and the Temple of Moon. It was another adventure I’ll never
forget.
Argentina
After a trip to Brazil, we took a flight to Buenos Aires. On the way
from São Paulo, we flew over the beautiful Iguassu Falls, on the
border between Brazil and Argentina. It was an unbelievable
panorama from the air. We took a tour of Buenos Aires and visited
the most important tourist attractions, Plaza de Mayo; the Casa
Rosada, (Pink House) the official office of the president; the grand
