On May 13, 20<strong>23</strong>, Chuck and Gena Norris along<br />
with Keith and Alice Mosing celebrate the<br />
Kickstart Kids 30th Annual Boots and Black<br />
Belt Gala in Houston Texas presented by<br />
The Stephen and Mary Birch Foundation.<br />
This year’s event featured an<br />
exciting Kickstart Kids <strong>Martial</strong> <strong>Arts</strong><br />
Demonstration and musical entertainment<br />
by Country Music performer<br />
Rodney Atkins.<br />
Annually, the Gala recognizes<br />
individuals that embody the val ues of the<br />
martial arts organization in the everyday<br />
curriculum as well as their long-term commitment<br />
and support of Kickstart Kids. Those<br />
traits include honesty, loyalty, courage, discipline,<br />
respect, dedication, kindness, and responsibility. Recipients<br />
are chosen for their positive impact on the<br />
communities they serve.<br />
This years honorees are Keith and Alice<br />
Mosing, Deborah Durkin, and Christopher<br />
Patek. There will also be a special tribute<br />
to Rex King. As usual, there will also be<br />
plenty of sponsorship tiers to continue<br />
helping children. If last year is any<br />
indication there will be many fortunate<br />
young people because the event raised<br />
over $1,000,000.00 and they will seek to<br />
raise the bar at this year’s event.<br />
