Delray Beach chamber of commerce<br />
Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce has always provided<br />
services and programming that is tailored to its large and<br />
diverse membership. There are events and programs like<br />
YPAD for the under 40 crowd, Nonprofit Council for our nonprofit<br />
members, Focus on Women for the female membership as well<br />
as many others. The only demographic not specifically addressed<br />
lately was a solid option for men. That was until late last year.<br />
It was then, after a conversation between myself and Lynn Van<br />
Lenten that CORE was born. CORE is an acronym for Creating<br />
Original Relationships through Experiences. One of the best ways<br />
to form bonds and build relationships is through shared experiences.<br />
The idea was to plan a quarterly event where we can get<br />
a group of guys together to attend a one-of-a-kind experience.<br />
The key word is experience. The goal was to create experiences<br />
that would benefit the guys who attended and leave them talking<br />
about it for the weeks and months that follow. It’s not your typical<br />
networking event though!<br />
While CORE events are different each time, the format stays<br />
the same. We cap attendance to the first 50 men who register and<br />
each event is aimed at enriching a part of their lives through fun<br />
and educational experiences. These experiences are carefully curated<br />
to be one of a kind and provide an opportunity to develop<br />
relationships with other guys, past what appears on their business<br />
card during a fun and engaging event.<br />

Our first event was at Warren in West Delray. They did a bourbon<br />
tasting and pairing with some of their new dishes, explained<br />
the differences between bourbon, scotch and other whiskeys and<br />
even taught a class on how to make a proper old fashioned! That<br />
event was the talk of the town. We followed that up with a night<br />
of motors and martinis at Haggarty Social. Where we had the opportunity<br />
to tour the facility and see some of the most rare and<br />
expensive automobiles in the world while drinking martinis and<br />
learning about all of the different types of vehicles they have in<br />
their collection. We followed that event up watching the sunset<br />
from Rosewater where we learned how to look our best. We had<br />
a tailor, Maria, from J. Hilburn Men’s Clothier talking to us about<br />
the latest style trends, barbers from Legacy Barbershop giving<br />
us grooming tips and providing haircuts and Nancy Reagan from<br />
Bella Reina Spa talking about skincare for men and demonstrating<br />
a few new products. We are proud of these elevated networking<br />
events.<br />
CORE Men’s group is about more than just networking, it’s<br />
about building a community of men who want to develop new<br />
relationships while enjoying high-end experiences here in South<br />
Florida! These events are open to any area man who wants to attend<br />
and while chamber membership isn’t required, you do get<br />
