SMA Solar Technology AG Troubleshooting
Problem Cause Rectification
Sunny WebBox does
not transmit data via FTP
push. The "NETCOM"
LED glows red.
After an FTP download,
the Internet Explorer
shows old Sunny
WebBox data.
The Sunny WebBox
daily reports and
monthly reports are
incomplete.
The events in the event
report do not appear in
the usual positions
under "time".
The FTP push function is
deactivated.
You are not connected to the
Internet.
The Sunny WebBox FTP push
function is not set correctly.
Given the way Microsoft
Internet Explorer handles cache,
the Sunny WebBox may load
outdated data.
Sunny WebBox Communication
via the GSM modem is not
sufficiently stable. The Sunny
WebBox is not transmitting the
complete daily reports and
monthly reports.
The Sunny WebBox attempts the
next upload before the current
data transmission is finished. The
data transmission starts over
again.
The time settings of the Sunny
WebBox and the connected
device do not match.
Activate the FTP push function of the
Sunny WebBox (see section 9.4 "FTP
Push Function" (page 55)).
Reestablish Internet access. If necessary,
contact your Internet Service Provider.
Check that the server address, the user
name and the password are set correctly
in the FTP push settings (see section
9.4 "FTP Push Function" (page 55)).
Check whether the user has write
authorizations to the server's upload
directory (see section 9.4 "FTP Push
Function" (page 55)).
Check whether the server port is set to the
correct value (see section 9.4 "FTP Push
Function" (page 55)).
Test the Sunny WebBox FTP push
function (see section 9.4 "FTP Push
Function" (page 55)).
Use an FTP client such as FileZilla to load
data from the internal FTP server of the
Sunny WebBox.
Choose a better mounting location for
the GSM antenna (see section
6.7.4 "Determining the Mounting /
Installation Location for the GSM
Version" (page 33)).
If sufficient reception is not possible in the
building, use the optimal GSM antenna
extension set for outside installation (see
section 16 "Accessories" (page 95)).
Reduce the maximum number of upload
attempts in a time window (see section
10.6 "Setting Data Upload" (page 67)).
Synchronize the time settings of the
Sunny WebBox and the connected
device (see respective manuals).
