The Island Institute for the Integrated Management of World Heritage and the
Biosphere Reserve of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria runs three visitor centres, distributed
throughout the territory and covered by both UNESCO designations on
the island. These are the Roque Bentayga Visitor Centre (Tejeda), Risco Caído y
Montañas Sagradas Cultural Landscape Visitor Centre (Artenara) and Los Caserones
Visitor Centre (La Aldea de San Nicolás).
With the aim of offering a different and dynamic experience, to allow people to
experience first hand the particularities of the Biosphere Reserve of Gran Canaria
and to learn all about the attributes that give the exceptional universal value to
the World Heritage Site of Risco Caído and the Sacred Mountains of Gran Canaria,
these centres offer their visitors a series of GUIDED TOURS that can be enjoyed
all year round.
There are up to eight different routes on offer with different types of content and
levels of difficulty, all in the capable hands of specialist guides. This is an ideal
opportunity to get to know the singularities of an area that treasures enormous
natural and cultural attractions.
The routes include a bus service where required to take participants to the departure
and pick-up points.

RUTAS INTERPRETADAS
El Instituto Insular para la Gestión Integrada del Patrimonio Mundial y la Reserva
de la Biosfera del Cabildo de Gran Canaria dispone de tres centros de
interpretación distribuidos por el territorio que abarcan ambas designaciones
UNESCO en la isla: Centro de Interpretación del Roque Bentayga (Tejeda),
Centro de Interpretación del Paisaje Cultural de Risco Caído y Montañas Sagradas
(Artenara) y Centro de interpretación Los Caserones (La Aldea de San
Nicolás).
Con la intención de brindar una experiencia diferente y dinámica, acercarnos
a las particularidades de la Reserva de la Biosfera de Gran Canaria y conocer
de manera directa los atributos que otorgan el valor universal excepcional al
Patrimonio Mundial de Risco Caído y las Montañas Sagradas de Gran Canaria,
estos centros ofrecen a sus visitantes una serie de RUTAS INTERPRETADAS
que podrán disfrutar durante todo el año.
De la mano de guías especialistas se dispone de hasta ocho rutas que recorren
diferentes senderos con diversos tipos de contenido y niveles de dificultad.
Se trata de una oportunidad ideal para conocer las singularidades de un
espacio que atesora enormes valores naturales y culturales.
Las rutas que lo precisan incluyen servicio de guagua para aproximar a las
personas participantes a los puntos de partida y recogida.
