After having great results with both foals,
I plan to breed again from my mare next
year to carry on the D'Zyne dream.”.
The highest scoring showjumping
2-year-old was Kydan Cruising on
Guidam by Cruising on Clover out of a
Guidam mare with a Gold Premium of
8.25 who was bred by Vicky Hartley of
Kydan Stud.
His owner Michelle Elswood explains:
“I was pleased with him on the day, he’s
only been out once this year so behaved
really well. I was thrilled with the
comments about him, especially from
the vet. His dam Vidona showjumped to
1.20m in Holland, then BE100 and
elementary dressage in the UK. Cruising
on Clover is a class 1 ISH also
competed up to 1.20 before retiring to
stud. In later life he then started some
dressage and arena eventing with a
young amateur rider, being a
confidence giver with his amazing
temperament.
“When we went to view ‘Fox’ as a
6-day-old foal, the breeder offered my
16-year-old daughter a ride on Cruising
on Clover. It was this ride that sealed the
deal. Fox was bred to excel in any arena
with a temperament for an amateur to
compete. Our hopes are that he will take
my daughter through the levels at BSJ
and maybe some BD for myself.”
The top scoring yearling entry across all
disciplines was MSF Friday Feeling by
Franz Ferdinand out of a Supertramp
mare, bred for dressage by Haydn and
Charlotte Davies. He achieved Gold
Premium of 8.1.
Leading in the 2-year-old Dressage
category was Fosshey Dreamcatcher,
bred by Sandra Tinker of Fosshey Stud
by Damaschino out of a Der Lord mare
with a Gold Premium of 8.025.

Owner Lisa Porter is thrilled with him:
“Fosshey Dreamcatcher is from one of
the Fosshey Stud’s most consistent
foundation mares, Delta. Delta bred the
only UK based performance tested
gelding with the BHHS. And we would
hope that Dreamcatcher could also
achieve this accolade once under
saddle. My ambition is to compete
‘Dexter’ as he is known at home in
Dressage. I fell in love with him as a foal
and have watched him develop into
this fantastic young horse thanks to the
expert handling of the team at Fosshey
Stud. He is so laid back and easy, he has
a very trainable attitude and I could not
be more excited about what the future
holds for us!”

The highest scoring eventing 2yo was
Buzz Along by Gemini’s Classic Opera
out of an Alfora mare. He was bred
by Sarah Judge and achieved a Gold
Premium of 8.005.

Kydan Cruising on Guidam
“Thanks for a lovely day at Northcote!
Buzz Along is owned and bred by Sarah
Judge from Lincolnshire. His dam was a
full thoroughbred mare, making him 73%
blood and showing all the attributes to
have an exciting future eventing.
“Earlier this season he showed in-hand
successfully with results including 1st and
champion at Lincolnshire County and
a win at the Great Yorkshire Show. He
came to me 5 weeks before Northcote
to do some groundwork, lunging and
long reining and to prepare for his
Futurity evaluation. He has shown a
fantastic attitude to his work and loves to
jump proving brave and scopey.
Buzz is now enjoying a few weeks out
in the field before being backed and
produced for the 4-year-old classes
next year.”
