Futurity Report - Northallerton
Flo has an incredible personality. She's
gentle, curious, and eager to please. We
clicked right from the start and she's filled
me with confidence already that she will
be great at endurance. Her intelligence
and willingness to learn have made our
training sessions so rewarding. She is
bold and has a self confidence that I
hope will keep her trotting on anywhere
I ask.

Flo.”
The top scoring eventing 5yo at
Northallerton was Pioen Rose ELS by
Wolkenderry out of a Wolfgang mare
who achieved a Gold score of 8.03.
Breeder Carole Rolph explains:
“Pioen Rose was first presented as a foal
at the 2018 Elite Foal Registration Tour.
She topped the Eventing Foal section at
Twemlows and went on to be 5th in the
National Final. From then on she lived as
part of a herd at Edge O’Leet Stud until
August 2022 when she joined Emma
Corner in Malton to be backed and
produced as an eventer.
“The last 12 months has seen many
changes in her life and her presentation
at Northallerton was her first official real
outing under saddle. She has proved
to be incredibly accepting of whatever
has been asked of her and has built up
a special relationship with Emma, which
bodes well for her planned eventing
debut next year. She has some big shoes
to fill as Emma produced her maternal
half brother, Edmonton ELS (by
Zacharov) to advanced levels at both
eventing and dressage.”
The highest scoring eventing 3yo was
Cornhill Pallas Athena bred by Yvonne
Scales by her own stallion Gambler out
of a Fürst Heinrich mare.

Yvonne was delighted with her filly’s
confident performance:
“Cornhill Pallas Athena is beautiful inside
and out. She is the last foal out of my
Fürst Heinrich mare by my 'one in a
million' stallion Gambler (Voice x De
Niro). She took everything in her stride
at the Futurity. I, and the judges were
amazed at her natural jumping ability,
having never jumped before. She truly is
very special with the ability to excel in
any sphere.”
