Μία νέα σειρά με parties έχει ξεκινήσει στo Galaxy Bar του Hilton, το εντυπωσιακότερο bar της Αθήνας. Τα Jameson Smooth Sundays είναι ιδανικά, για να αφήνουμε το
Σαββατοκύριακο και να ετοιμαζόμαστε με τον καλύτερο τρόπο για την καινούργια εβδομάδα. Κάθε δεύτερη Κυριακή του μήνα λοιπόν rendez-vous στο Galaxy Bar του
Hilton, με την καλύτερη θεά στην Αθήνα και με την μουσική να επιμελούνται οι καλλιτέχνες από το roster της Klik Records αλλά και special guest Djs από το εξωτερικό.
Το πρώτο Jameson Smooth Sundays ξεκίνησε την Κυριακή 7 Οκτωβρίου στις 7 το απόγευμα με καλεσμένους τους Νίκο Διαμαντόπουλο και Babak Shayan (Soda INC)
να παρουσιάζουν τις πιο φρέσκιες ποιοτικές παραγωγές της deep tech house σκηνής. Στα δυο επόμενα έπαιξαν οι Νίκος Πατρελάκης & Γιώργος Κυριάκου και οι
Liberto & Timewriter.Tα parties θα συνεχιστούν μέχρι το Mάρτιο. Το πρόγραμμα των 3 επόμενων Jameson Smooth Sundays parties είναι:

SCSI 9
Ο Anton Kubikov γεννήθηκε το 1975 στη Μόσχα και σε
ηλικία 17 ετών ήταν ήδη δημοσιογράφος σε έναν ραδιοφωνικό
σταθμό της πόλης. Ξεκίνησε να εργάζεται ως DJ
το 1994 σε ένα από τα πρώτα techno club της Μόσχας, το
Hermitage, κι έγινε σύντομα πολύ δημοφιλής στη μουσική
σκηνή της πόλης. Το 1997 ο Kubikov ξεκίνησε τη συνεργασία
του με τον (γεννημένο το 1970 στη Μόσχα) Maxim
Milyutenko, παράγοντας underground dance music,
downtempo και minimal tracks μαζί με διάφορα remix.
Στις 9 Νοεμβρίου του 2002, οι SCSI-9 εμφανίστηκαν live
στο φημισμένο Fabric club του Λονδίνου, ενώ από το 2001
κυκλοφορούν τις συνθέσεις τους σε βινύλιο. Τον Απρίλιο
του 2003 στο γνωστό γερμανικό label Force Tracks κυκλοφόρησε
το πρώτο τους ολοκληρωμένο album με τον
τίτλο «Digital Russian» (2x12" and CD), ενώ το 2004 οι
SCSI-9 κυκλοφόρησαν δύο ακόμη EP στην Kompakt. Τα
τελευταία τρία χρόνια, ο Anton και ο Maxim έχουν κυκλοφορήσει
διάφορα tracks στο label Pro-Tez, το οποίο οι
ίδιοι δημιούργησαν.

Ο Μιχάλης Δέλτα ξεκίνησε τη δεκαετία του '90 από τους
Stereo Nova, το πιο επιτυχημένο ελληνικό γκρουπ ηλεκτρονικής
μουσικής κι η πρώτη του ατομική δουλειά με
τίτλο «T19» ήταν επηρεασμένη από την techno του
Detroit. Το 1996 κυκλοφόρησε το πρώτο του EP (στην
R&S Records) με τίτλο «The Picture», ενώ τον Ιούνιο του
2000 παρουσίασε το εξαιρετικό «Το Χρώμα της Ημέρας»,
από το οποίο προέρχεται το single «Μια Αγάπη Μικρή»
που συμπεριελήφθη στη συλλογή «Sidharta» του
Buddha Bar και του DJ Ravin. Έναν χρόνο αργότερα ο Μιχάλης
Δέλτα υπέγραψε με το γαλλικό label Distance
Records, με το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε τα album «Halcyon
Days» και «Vulnerable», ενώ από το 2003 ως το 2006 δη-

μιουργεί για την ελληνική «Klik records» 3 album. Βασικό
χαρακτηριστικό της techno funky house μουσικής του είναι
η σχέση της με τον ήχο της πόλης, από τον οποίον και
προέρχεται.
SCSI 9
Anton Kubikov was born in 1975 in Moscow.When he
was 17 years old he began to work as journalist on a
Moscow radio station. He started his DJ career in 1994 in
one of the first techno clubs in Moscow - Hermitage.
Soon he became a very popular figure on the city's DJ
scene. In 1997 Kubikov started collaborating with Maxim
Milyutenko (born in 1970 in Moscow).Anton and Maxim
produce underground dance music, downtempo and
minimal tracks and remixes. On November 9th, 2002,
SCSI-9 played live at the famous Fabric club in London,
UK. Since 2001 SCSI-9 publish their music as vinyl. In April,
2003 the well-known German label Force Tracks released
their fullsize album «Digital Russian» (2x12" and CD). In
2004 SCSI-9 released two EPs on Kompakt. Since then,
Anton and Maxim have set up their own label Pro-Tez
and have released numerous tracks.
MIKAEL DELTA
Mikael Delta started off in the 90's with Stereo Nova, the
most successful electro group in Greece. His first solo
project was titled «T19» and it was influenced by Detroit's
techno sound. In 1996 he released his first EP on R&S
Records, titled The Picture. In June 2000, Mikael released
the exceptional «To Chroma Tis Imeras» (The Colour Of
Day), from which the single Mia Agapi Mikri (A Young
Love) was included on Buddha Bar's «Sidharta»
compilation, produced by DJ Ravin. 2001 finds Mikael
signing with the French label Distance Records, on which
he released the albums «Halcyon Days» and
«Vulnerable». 2003-2006 finds Mikael signing with the
Greek label Klik records 3 artist albums.Above all, Mikael
Delta is a Greek artist who creates techno funky house
music that is drawn from the sounds of the city.

LAWRENCE
O Peter M. Kersten έχει κυκλοφορήσει στο –συνδεόμενο
με την Kompakt– label Dial (το οποίο ανήκει στον ίδιο και
στον Carsten Jost) αρκετά 12" με το όνομα Sten και με
ένα περισσότερο μινιμαλιστικό techno μουσικό ύφος. Ξεκίνησε
να παράγει τη δική του μουσική το 1997 και δύο
χρόνια αργότερα κυκλοφόρησε τον πρώτο του δίσκο με
την Dial. Παρ'ολ’ αυτά, ήταν το project Lawrence που μόλις
πρόσφατα τον βοήθησε να ξεχωρίσει. Ένα καλλιτεχνικό
ψευδώνυμο, το οποίο ο ίδιος περισσότερο θεωρεί μέρος
της ζωής του ως μουσικού και όχι μία μάσκα ή μία
προσωπίδα πίσω από την οποία κρύβεται. Το πρώτο του
άλμπουμ με αυτό το όνομα ήταν το «Lawrence» (2002)
για να ακολουθήσουν το «The Absence of Blight» (Dial,
2003) και το «The Night Will Last Forever» (novamute,
2005).
ACROPOD
Ο Βασίλης Γιουβρής και ο Σάββας Καραμπίνος, τα δύο
μέλη των Acropod, ξεκίνησαν στην εφηβική τους ηλικία να
ασχολούνται ως DJ με μουσική αφετηρία το drum'n'bass.
Φανατικοί του βινυλίου και της μουσικής αμφότεροι, εργάστηκαν
εκείνη την εποχή –ανεξάρτητα ο ένας από τον
άλλον- ως DJ σε club και υπαίθρια πάρτι. Πρωτοσυναντήθηκαν
το 1994 και έξι χρόνια ξεκίνησαν μαζί το δικό τους
ταξίδι στον κόσμο των μουσικών παραγωγών, δίνοντας
στο συγκρότημά τους το όνομα Acropod, στήνοντας το
πρώτο τους στούντιο στην… κρεβατοκάμαρα και προ-

with guests Nikos Diamantopoulos and Babak Shayan (Soda INC) presenting new quality productions of the deep tech house scene. For the two following Sundays the

με τη σύγχρονη μουσική τεχνολογία. Οι αρχικές επιρροές
τους προέρχονται από τραγουδιστές και γκρουπ
των '70ς και των '80ς, όπως οι Pink Floyd, ο Curtis
Mayfield, ο Lonnie Liston Smith, οι Depeche Mode και οι
Kraftwerk. Η μουσική που δημιουργούν, υποστηρίζουν οι
Acropod, στόχο έχει να κάνει τους ανθρώπους που είναι
γύρω τους να χαμογελούν.
LAWRENCE
Peter M. Kersten has released on his and Carsten Jost's
Kompakt affiliated Dial label numerous 12"s under the
name of Sten in what might be termed a more minimal
techno style. His musical transition was to begin and by
1997 Peter began producing his own music with his first
release appearing two years later on the fledgling Dial
imprint. However, it is with his Lawrence project that he
has most recently come to prominence.A nom de plume
that he feels is not hidden behind any mask or facade but
just another part of his life as a musician. His first
eponymous album was «Lawrence» 2002), the second
one, «The Absence of Blight» (Dial, 2003) and his latest
album, «The Night Will Last Forever» (novamute, 2005).
ACROPOD
Vassilis Giouvris and Savas Karabinos, the two members
of Acropod, started off as DJs when they were teenagers,
with drum'n'bass as their starting point. Music and vinyl
junkies, they started DJing in clubs and open-air parties,
during their prime. They met in 1994 and six years later, in
2000, they started their production journey together.
With a small budget, they started buying machinery and
set up their own... bedroom studios, trying to learn as
much as possible on music technology, while adopting the
alias Acropod.Their early influences derive mainly from
seventies and eighties singers and groups such as Pink
Floyd, Curtis Mayfield, Lonnie Liston Smith, Depeche
Mode and Kraftwerk.According to Acropod, by creating
music, they aim in people's smiles around them.

DOUSK
Ο Γιάννης Ντούσκος είχε το 1999, σε ηλικία 20 ετών, ήδη
ολοκληρώσει τις σπουδές του στην κλασική μουσική, ως
πιανίστας, παραγωγός jazz και ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής και
μηχανικός ήχου. Ένα χρόνο νωρίτερα, το 1998, είχε παράλληλα
αρχίσει να εργάζεται ως μουσικός παραγωγός
σε ραδιοφωνικές και τηλεοπτικές διαφημίσεις. Αυτήν την
περίοδο είναι φοιτητής Οικονομικών στο Πανεπιστήμιο
της Πάτρας, μα παρ’ όλ’ αυτά αφιερώνει το μεγαλύτερο
μέρος του χρόνου του στον υπολογιστή ή το στούντιο
και την αγαπημένη του ασχολία – τη μουσική. Είναι ο ένας
από τους τρεις δημιουργούς του συγκροτήματος/project
JDK, μαζί με τον Jose Zamora και τον Chris Nemmo. Οι
επιρροές του έχουν κατά κύριο λόγο σχέση με την ηλεκτρονική
μουσική, είτε με την έννοια της ψυχεδέλειας και
των ηλεκτρονικών πειραματισμών των '60s και των '70s είτε
ακόμα και με την disco των ύστερων '70s. Ως φανατικός
δε πιστός της τεχνολογίας και των computer games,
επηρεάζεται ακόμη από τη μουσική τους, καθώς και τα
demo soundtrack των computer. Απολαμβάνει να ασχολείται
με διαφορετικά είδη μουσικής και οι συνθέσεις του
θα μπορούσαν κατά βάση να καταταχθούν σε δύο μεγάλες
κατηγορίες: Dance music (Progressive House-Breaks
& Techno) και Experimental (Ambient, Downtempo,
Abstract, Industrial).
DOUSK
John Douskos is a Greek-born artist. In 1999, at the age of
20, he had already completed his studies in classical music,
which comprised of classical piano, jazz and electronic
music production and engineering.However,even as early
as 1998 he had already started his music career as a music
producer for radio and TV ads. Currently, he is studying
economics at the University of Patras, although he spends
most of his time either on his computer or in his studio,
working on his favorite occupation' music. Moreover, he is
one of the three founders of the band/project JDK along
with Jose Zamora and Chris Nemmo. His influences
originate mostly from the electronic genre, whether be it
in the form of 60's and 70's psychedelia and experimental
electronic music, or even the late 70's disco. Being an avid
fan of technology and computer games, he finds influence
even in the music of these games and also at computer
demo soundtracks. Since he seeks happiness through
variety, his compositions fall mainly into two categories:
Dance music (Progressive House-Breaks & Techno) and
Experimental (Ambient, Downtempo, Abstract,
Industrial).
