of yellow covered literature
having been brought into the town,
many of the most intelligent mothers
in the city became alarmed for the
welfare of the minds and morals of
their children, and determined that

that it was but a short time before
there were quite a number of ladies
who were willing and glad to assist
in the enterprise of starting a circulating
library.

Deputy Sheriff of Bond county since
1902; was raised on a farm and
has resided in the countv all his
life.
