Women's Home and Foreign Missionary<br />
society is progressive and<br />
faithful.<br />
Rev. T. W. Hynes, D. D., who died<br />
in July, 1905, in his ninetieth year,<br />
had the honor <strong>of</strong> serving the church<br />
for the longest time, 1852 to 1SG7.<br />
fifteen years consecutively, and for<br />
short periods since, for a few weeks<br />
or months as the church had occasion<br />
to look to him for his always acceptable<br />
services.<br />
The present minister is Rev. W.<br />
B. Minton, who began his ministry<br />
with the church in June, 1900.<br />

Baptist church <strong>of</strong> <strong>Greenville</strong><br />
was organized September 18,<br />
1S36, with six members: Lemuel<br />
Blanchard, Charles Norton, Eunice<br />
Norton, A. N. Norton, Elizabeth<br />
Norton and Sibbel Blanchard. In<br />
1842 the total membership was<br />
forty-two. From that time the<br />

1900, noy\' a resident <strong>of</strong> Mt. Carmel,<br />
<strong>Illinois</strong>.
