5.2.3 System – Connections :: Mobile IP
This function allows you to define the GPRS access data of the TeleObserver TO3100. If you have
questions or problems with the GPRS configuration, please contact your network operator or service
provider. The connection between the TeleObserver device and the workstation may be established
either via the VPN server or directly. In the tree structure in the main window, select the Mobile IP
entry. The following dialog appears.
Field Description
Access data -
Dial-in � Activate the check box if the connection is to be established via the GPRS
network.
Access point name/APN � The access point name is needed to establish a connection to the GPRS
network. You obtain the access point name from your network operator or
service provider.
User name � Write a user name if required by the service provider. The user name may be
needed to make a data connection, and is usually provided by the service
provider.
Password � A password may be needed to make a data connection, and is usually provided
by the service provider.
AT-Initialization � Enter the AT command that is used to initialize the modem. The command
allows packet-switching data connection to be established.
AT-Dial string (Dial-in
umber)
Default: atz
� Enter the dial-in number of the access point.
You obtain the dial-in number from your network operator or service provider.
The dial-in number must have as prefix the AT command "ATD".
Default: ATD*99***1#
Authentication � Select the authentication protocol which is to be used for the dial-in at the access
point.
