5.2.3 System – Connections :: Mobile IP<br />

This function allows you to define the GPRS access data of the TeleObserver <strong>TO3100</strong>. If you have<br />

questions or problems with the GPRS configuration, please contact your network operator or service<br />

provider. The connection between the TeleObserver device and the workstation may be established<br />

either via the VPN server or directly. In the tree structure in the main window, select the Mobile IP<br />

entry. The following dialog appears.<br />

Field Description<br />

Access data -<br />

Dial-in � Activate the check box if the connection is to be established via the GPRS<br />

network.<br />

Access point name/APN � The access point name is needed to establish a connection to the GPRS<br />

network. You obtain the access point name from your network operator or<br />

service provider.<br />

User name � Write a user name if required by the service provider. The user name may be<br />

needed to make a data connection, and is usually provided by the service<br />

provider.<br />

Password � A password may be needed to make a data connection, and is usually provided<br />

by the service provider.<br />

AT-Initialization � Enter the AT command that is used to initialize the modem. The command<br />

allows packet-switching data connection to be established.<br />

AT-Dial string (Dial-in<br />

umber)<br />

Default: atz<br />

� Enter the dial-in number of the access point.<br />

You obtain the dial-in number from your network operator or service provider.<br />

The dial-in number must have as prefix the AT command "ATD".<br />

Default: ATD*99***1#<br />

Authentication � Select the authentication protocol which is to be used for the dial-in at the access<br />

point.<br />
