AVENUE DES CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES, PARIS 8 TH ARRONDISSEMENT
Some two hundred cyclists leave Liège on 30 June to take part
in this epic race. The Tour de France will fi nish 3,479 km and
twenty stages later on “the most beautiful avenue in the world”,
as has been the tradition since 1975. Those who cross the fi nish
line will have successfully ascended the Col du Grand Colombier
in the Jura Mountains and the Mur de Péguère and Peyragudes
in the Pyrenees… and much more. The fi nal sprint is broadcast
in 190 countries, and is always a heart-pumping moment full of
excitement – especially if you’re actually there!

Renowned companies and dancers bring original
programmes to this festival every year. This year, the Alvin
Ailey American Dance Theater will be performing twentyeight
performances of fi fteen ballets, nine of which are new
to their repertoire, on alternate dates overseen by Robert
Battle, their new artistic director. And for the fi rst time in Paris
in twelve years, the Paul Taylor Dance Company will be giving
ten exceptional “classical” performances including some new

What a spectacle! This amazing exhibition designed by MoMa
in New York recreates the world of Tim Burton, the artist’s
creative workshop and the intimate realm of his imagination,
through drawings, photos, fi gurines, objects and colourful
sculptures. Discover his fi rst drawings and his work with
Disney, before his big break as a director of the now legendary
Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and many others. The
exhibition is also a great chance to see all his fi lms again,
including his rarely seen short fi lms. Ghosts, superheroes,
aliens, emotional and macabre creatures based on childish
nightmares and B movies... all things Burton are there!
