This stunn<strong>in</strong>g classical build<strong>in</strong>g built <strong>in</strong> the 17th century<br />
for one of Marie <strong>de</strong> Médicis’ advisors <strong>in</strong>vites you on an<br />
<strong>in</strong>teractive journey through time entitled “Back<br />
to the time of the Impressionists”. And until 2<br />
September, the “Between Earth and Sky” (Entre Ciel<br />
et Terre) exhibition, at the Château and several other<br />
locations, will be reveal<strong>in</strong>g how light, clouds, refl ections<br />
and plant life constantly <strong>in</strong>spire contemporary artists.<br />

• AUBERGE RAVOUX, VAN GOGH’S HOUSE<br />
Van Gogh spent the last two months of his life here <strong>in</strong> 1890. He pa<strong>in</strong>ted around seventy canvases <strong>in</strong><br />
the village and surround<strong>in</strong>g areas, which he would hang to dry right here <strong>in</strong> his bedroom. The Auberge<br />
has been restored to its orig<strong>in</strong>al state, where the spirit of the pa<strong>in</strong>ter still lives on. The welcom<strong>in</strong>g<br />
environment, traditional cuis<strong>in</strong>e and souvenirs from the artist’s café br<strong>in</strong>g the place’s memories to life..<br />

It’s all about life, discovery and freedom. This classical<br />
jewel will be host<strong>in</strong>g composer Pascal Zavaro, and<br />
offer<strong>in</strong>g an exceptional programme around him and<br />
his work. Highlights <strong>in</strong>clu<strong>de</strong>: Fauré’s Requiem and<br />
Han<strong>de</strong>l’s Dixit Dom<strong>in</strong>us performed by the Ensemble<br />
vocal <strong>de</strong> Lausanne for the open<strong>in</strong>g night on the 1<br />
June; Corsican s<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g with the Chœur d’hommes <strong>de</strong><br />
Sartène on 9 June; the pianist Hélène Grimaud on 20<br />
June; the viol<strong>in</strong>ist Sokolov on 23 June; clos<strong>in</strong>g night on<br />
6 July with Brahms’ Requiem performed by the Maîtrise<br />
<strong>de</strong> <strong>Paris</strong> and its Male Voice Choir.<br />

(arriv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Auvers at 10:43), return<strong>in</strong>g<br />
from Auvers at 18:06 (arriv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>Paris</strong><br />
at 18:39). For all other days, take RER<br />
l<strong>in</strong>e A to Cergy-Préfecture or RER l<strong>in</strong>e C<br />
to Pontoise then bus no. 9507 or take<br />
SNCF the tra<strong>in</strong> from Sa<strong>in</strong>t-Lazare station<br />
to Pontoise, then change for Auvers.<br />
