A loud, colourful para<strong>de</strong>! The creativity of electronic cultures<br />

takes to the streets of <strong>Paris</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g a different severalkilometre-long<br />

route every year - music fi lls the air and<br />

dance, digital arts, fi ne arts, street arts and more fi ll the<br />

pavements. Sound systems blare as DJs sp<strong>in</strong> their <strong>de</strong>cks<br />

rid<strong>in</strong>g their fl oats and the streets are transformed <strong>in</strong>to a huge<br />

dance fl oor. Jo<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong> the Techno Para<strong>de</strong> for a huge outdoor<br />

party!<br />

We Love Green<br />

14 TO 16 SEPTEMBER<br />

PARIS 16 TH ARRONDISSEMENT<br />

This event is environmentally-friendly by <strong>de</strong>sign, and aims<br />

to manage its environmental and social impact, and to raise<br />

public awareness for the green cause. From its very fi rst year<br />

<strong>in</strong> 2011 it entered the closed circle of the twelve festivals<br />

recognised by the Greener Festival Award around the world.<br />

Which we th<strong>in</strong>k is pretty good! We Love Green also <strong>de</strong>ci<strong>de</strong>d<br />

that environmentally-friendly citizenship could be fun! So<br />

for three days, it will be produc<strong>in</strong>g green music at the Parc<br />

<strong>de</strong> Bagatelle with an eclectic range of upbeat pop and rock,<br />

psyche<strong>de</strong>lic funk and green electro. The l<strong>in</strong>e-up <strong>in</strong>clu<strong>de</strong>s<br />

Norah Jones, The Rapture, Beirut, Camille, Klaxons, Django<br />

Django, Electric gest and more. And there will also be fi lms,<br />

exhibitions, organic food tast<strong>in</strong>g, green events for kids and an<br />

association area where you can meet Emmaüs, GoodPlanet,<br />

GreenPeace, Universcience and WWF.<br />

Festival d’<strong>Ile</strong>-<strong>de</strong>-<strong>France</strong><br />

8 SEPTEMBER TO 14 OCTOBER<br />

PARIS REGION<br />

Every year, this festival spreads its eclectic programme<br />

around a number of sites <strong>in</strong> the <strong>Paris</strong> region. It is open to all<br />

k<strong>in</strong>ds of music: classical, baroque, jazz, world, electro music<br />

and more… This year the theme is the music of Diasporas,<br />

which it will cover with around thirty concerts. It starts on 8<br />

September with a Nuit <strong>de</strong> l’accordéon at Le Trianon (<strong>Paris</strong><br />

18th arrondissement). This is followed on 9 September at<br />

the Doma<strong>in</strong>e <strong>de</strong> Villarceaux, with an event themed around<br />

the melt<strong>in</strong>g pot of New York. On 14 September, a wan<strong>de</strong>r<strong>in</strong>g<br />

klezmer clar<strong>in</strong>et concert provi<strong>de</strong>s its contemporary vision of<br />

the Diaspora. On 28 to 30 September, the Cirque d’Hiver will<br />

be honour<strong>in</strong>g Cesária Évora. On 4 October, the Gaîté lyrique<br />

will be giv<strong>in</strong>g a trendy electro even<strong>in</strong>g called ‘Génération<br />

Berl<strong>in</strong>’ and on 13 October, we’ll be travell<strong>in</strong>g to Beirut at the<br />

Institut du Mon<strong>de</strong> Arabe together with Zad Moultaka…<br />
