Free outdoor cinema in a beautiful
setting on the theme of the
imagination... What more could you
ask for? Before your screening, sprawl
on the lawns enjoying your own picnic
or something bought on site, or
dine in one of the restaurants of the
Domaine. Then as night falls, lie out
under the stars in front of the giant
screen for a short fi lm followed by two
feature fi lms on 21 June (The Truman
Show, Gainsbourg Vie Héroïque)
and on 22 June (Un Secret, Alice in
Wonderland). On 23 June, after an
entire night of cinema (La Belle et
la Bête, E.T., Black Swan, Mulholland
Drive), cinema night owls will breakfast
on the lawn and watch the sun rise
over Paris...

FESTIVAL

24 to 26 August
Green Day, Noel Gallagher’s High
Flying Birds, Placebo, The Black Keys
and others will be rocking the Domaine
national de Saint-Cloud for the festival’s
10 th anniversary.

9 and 10 June
In the 17 th Century, Louis XIV’s brother
loved to throw sumptuous feasts here
in the gardens, the work of Le Nôtre’s
famous landscaping art and the talents
of Florentine fountain-engineers.
Ornamental lakes and sculptures shining
in the sun evoke the reign of Louis XIV.
Fountains and waterfalls come alive
for the spectacular water shows. Mina
Tindle, the Psophos quartet, Le Concert
Impromptu and Rover are on the bill for a
series of performances. You’d be mad to
miss it!
• ORANGERIE DE SCEAUX FESTIVAL
15 July to 10 September
Since its construction in 1686, the Sceaux Orangerie has been
dedicated to art, and has seen the birth and rise of this classical
music festival. It focuses on quartets and piano recitals, but also
hosts a number of duets and vocal performances. This year’s festival
is also aiming to open up to new audiences, with children’s workshops
and a series of short concerts followed by candle-lit excursions to the
beautiful Musée de l’Ile de France.

• LE GRAND FEU DE SAINT-CLOUD
8 September
Bigger and better than a gigantic fi rework show, this
is the biggest pyrotechnics display in Europe! It is the
ultimate marriage of technology and poetry, art and
technical skill and returns once again in the spirit of
public celebrations. With music, colours, a series of
bright and fl eeting displays in the beautiful setting of
the Domaine du Saint-Cloud, this is sure to be a blazing
spectacle!
